Dave had two spreadsheets he used to keep track of all the perks and features offered by his different cards. The Passport story begins in 2020, when Dave Wofford was teleworking during the COVID-19 pandemic and found paying bills online and buying school supplies and groceries online for his family too time-consuming.
 

When charged, the card will automatically pick which of your existing cards to use for rewards, discounts, and points. The smart card helps cardholders capitalize on the perks of their cards by identifying and selecting the best ones to use, regardless of the type of purchase.
 

To help him deliver his vision, Dave created a team of 14 seasoned professionals from both the public and private sectors to help him. All of them were experts in either software development and/or business strategies and had more than 20 years of experience in their respective fields. Based upon their skill sets, these men and women were selected from both the military and corporate worlds.
 

The team was formed quickly, holding both face-to-face and virtual meetings. After brainstorming names for their enterprise, the team selected Passport.
